Meet Todd – The Engineer & Founder

Todd, the owner and engineer behind Summit Fishing Equipment, saw a gap in the market for a truly portable fishing electronics solution. That idea led to the creation of the first Summit Shuttle, pioneering a new way to transport and protect fishing electronics. With a career in engineering, Todd started the business in his basement right before COVID-19 shut everything down. As demand grew, so did the company—eventually expanding beyond the basement into a dedicated facility where we continue to develop top-quality transducer poles, transducer mounts, bags, and boat mounting solutions. When Todd is not working he is either fishing, tending to his garden, or tinkering on his next project.

Meet Kaleigh

Todd has three daughters and wanted them to share his love of fishing. Kaleigh, his oldest daughter, has been fishing with him and her grandfather since she could walk. With a degree in marketing, Kaleigh has been with Summit Fishing since the beginning—if you've ever needed help with boat mounting solutions or customer service, chances are you’ve spoken with her! When Kaleigh isn't working, she is likely taking care of her son & two coonhounds, running, or fishing.

Meet Seth

Seth, Kaleigh’s husband, is another key part of the team. If you’ve had any questions about marine electronics, you’ve likely spoken with him. His knowledge ensures that customers get the right setup for their needs. Seth also runs the shop behind the scenes, making sure parts are assembled & ready to be shipped out to our customers. He is an essential part of the team. When Seth is not working, you can find him fishing, golfing, or hanging out with his family.

Meet Conner

Conner, is a family-friend of ours & a key part of the team. Conner works behind the scenes at Summit Fishing. He designs and develops new products with Todd, runs our CNC machines to make sure we’ve always got plenty of gear ready to ship. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll find him on the golf course, chasing walleye or musky on the local lakes, or enjoying a plate of Mexican food at one of his favorite spots.

FAQ'S

What length of pole should I purchase?

We recommend a 24"-60" pole for both ice fishing and the boat. For lakes that develop more than 2 feet of ice, choose the 32-80” pole. The 18-36” pole is ideal for small boats and kayaks.

Why Choose the Summit HD CNC Shuttle?

Our portable shuttle insulates the battery from cold temperatures with its plastic construction. It's compact and includes a full wiring harness with instructional videos. All made 100% in the USA.

Do I need the 9” Arm or the 6” Arm?

Measure the center of the mounting location to the rub rail. If the length is under 6.5”, choose the 6” arm and stabilizer. If it’s over 6.5”, opt for the 9” arm and stabilizer.

What length of stabilizer do I need?

Measure the center of the mounting location to the rub rail. If the length is under 6.5”, choose the 6” stabilizer. If it’s over 6.5”, opt for the 9” stabilizer. If it is 9.5"- 11.5" pair the 11" stabilizer with the 9" Ram Arm.
