250 Years of Independence & Building Products We Believe In

Two hundred and fifty years is a big milestone for this country and honestly, it’s hard not to reflect on how much freedom impacts the outdoor industry and the things we enjoy doing every day.

Fishing has always been a part of that.

Being able to load up the boat early in the morning, spend time on the water with family and friends, and chase the next bite is something a lot of us probably take for granted sometimes.

As we celebrate 250 years of American independence this summer, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what it means to build products here in the United States as well.

Since Summit Fishing Equipment started in 2019, one thing that’s always mattered to us is building products around real fishermen and real use on the water.

Our shuttles are proudly made right here in the USA and assembled in Northeast Ohio by a team that understands what it’s like to spend long days on the water chasing fish.

There are definitely easier ways to do things today. A lot of manufacturing has moved overseas and many products have become more about cutting costs than improving quality or making setups work better.

For us, we’ve always wanted to stay focused on building products we genuinely believe in.

Products that solve real frustrations.
Cleaner setups.
Better portability.
More time fishing and less time messing with gear.

That mindset is what helped shape Summit Fishing Equipment from the very beginning.

We’ve watched forward-facing sonar completely change the fishing industry over the last few years and we’ve worked hard to continue adapting alongside it. From shuttle systems and poles to batteries and now boat mounting solutions, everything we build comes back to one simple idea: make setups easier for the people actually using them.

And while the products continue to evolve, one thing hasn’t changed — we’re still fishermen ourselves. We still spend time on the water. We still deal with the same frustrations everyone else does. We still obsess over cleaner setups, easier adjustments, and finding ways to improve things little by little. That’s what keeps driving us forward.

As a family-owned business, we’re incredibly thankful for everyone who continues supporting Summit Fishing Equipment and Summit Lithium. Every order, message, photo, and tagged setup genuinely means a lot to us.

Being able to build products in the United States and continue growing a business around fishing is something we don’t take lightly.

This July, while celebrating 250 years of independence, we’re also reminded how grateful we are to be able to do what we love every single day.
