First Day of Summer: Get Your Boat Setup Ready for the Season

The first day of summer always feels like a bit of a turning point. Depending on where you live, you’ve probably been waiting a while for longer days, warmer water, and finally getting more time on the boat.

For a lot of people, this is when fishing really starts to pick up and when your setup actually gets put to the test.

Getting out on the water is one thing, but having a setup that works the way you want it to is another. That’s usually where the frustration comes in.

This time of year, we see the same issues pop up pretty often. People aren’t always sure what mount will actually work with their boat or their current setup. Things end up feeling cluttered because they’re piecing different parts together. And for some, gear that worked great on the ice just doesn’t translate well once it’s on the boat.

A lot of times, it’s not even the forward-facing sonar that’s the problem. It’s everything around it.

So what actually matters when you’re getting dialed in for summer?

If you’re getting your boat ready right now, this is the time to fix the small things before they turn into bigger frustrations once you’re out there.

It really comes down to having a mount that’s solid and easy to adjust, a clean way to position your transducer, and a setup that actually fits your boat instead of something you’re trying to make work.

We’ve spent a lot of time paying attention to how people are using their setups on the water what works, what doesn’t, and what tends to get in the way.

That’s what led us to start working on something new.

The Apex Boat Mount is built to solve a lot of the common frustrations we keep seeing with boat setups. We’re still finishing things up, but it’s coming this summer.

Longer days mean more time on the water but only if your gear keeps up.

If you’re getting ready for the season, it’s worth taking a little time now to get everything dialed in. It makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
